Dental X Rays Can Cause Brain Tumour

In ayurveda the diabetes is termed as madhu medha, it is considered as a kapha type of disorder in a person, where the decrease in the activity of agni is said to be the actual cause in the increase of blood sugar.

The individuals who undergo the dental x-rays are exposed to ionizing radiation, which will lead to development of tumors in the lining skull side of that person. Though their growth rate is slow, but areequally dangerous to cause problems or can even be lethal.

Few radiologists even suggest that the exposure of the patients to the dental x-ray should be limited to a maximum extent, while not completely ignoring regular dental check-ups avoiding more than two oral x-rays per year.

As part of the research a non-malignant type of tumors were diagnosed in adults who had more than two x-rays during their childhood.

In a comparative study it was found that people suffering of meningioma tumor are 2-5 times likely who could have got dental x-rays done in their young age when they were kids.

During the growth process of the children, their cells are sensitive to radiation, and approximately 1,400 patients suffering from Meningioma of ages group between 20 and 79 in spring of 2006 and the spring of 2011, and upon their recollection of their dental history.

The study shows an association but does not prove a cause-effect relationship

Majority of meningiomas in patients are non-malignant, they grow large and can cause serious symptoms such as including vision and hearing loss, frequent headaches, memory loss, and even seizures.

Safe method for Dental X-Ray

While receiving x-rays to reduce the frequent exposures, while dentists can use chest guard jackets on the patient while taking the x-ray, people can as for thyroidprotector as well to neck guard area.

The patients should necessarily ask if it is so necessary to take an x-ray or if possible can ask for other options where the dental x-ray can be avoided or replaced with that of something else.
